My younger siblings have been in and out of foster and residential homes for a few years and through my connection with them I have gained insight on the ins-and-outs- of residential care and coping with youth who can-be and/or have some difficulties. Other than helping raise my siblings until their transition into foster care, I was the caregiver to a newborn/infant and toddler for over a year. I have also taken care of many other children including an autistic adolescent over an extended period of time. Working with children isn't just something I've done for extra money or convenience because it's truly my passion and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
