Hi! My name is Lauren Mitchom and I am 22 years old. I will start off with a little bit about myself! I am from St. Louis, MO. I lived in that area all my life, until 2017 when I moved to San Antonio. I am currently back and forth from St. Louis to Cape Girardeau, where I attend Southeast Missouri State University. I am double majoring in criminal justice and political science with the hopes of potentially creating change within our prison system. I have three beautiful siblings who are all younger than me. With that I learned how to take care of children at a young age. I also have mainly worked in childcare. Since high school I've worked at educational summer camps where I looked after younger children as well as helped them prepare for the school year. While attending SEMO I have worked for the Jackson Read more School District at Jackson Elementary School where I participated in their aftercare program. I also was a member of the sorority Alpha Xi Delta before moving to San Antonio. Our philanthropy is Autism Speaks, we raise money for this organization as well as interact with people who are effected and have been effected by autism. I have worked with numerous children with autism and other special needs throughout the years I have worked in childcare! I am CPR certified, First Aid certified and I have a current background check in the state of Missouri from my previous job at Kids KORNER Daycare in Cape.
