I love being a sitter because working with children has always felt natural and meaningful to me. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with kids and their families, creating a safe and positive environment, and being someone parents can trust. Being away from my own family while in college has made those connections even more important to me, and caring for children is something I truly enjoy and feel passionate about. I have over 4 years of paid childcare experience. I began helping families when I was around 13–14 years old, assisting while parents worked from home and later babysitting and nannying independently. I have provided morning care during summers, helping children get ready and on the bus for summer school. I also have nearly 4 years of experience organizing and teaching one-on-one swim lessons and coaching children on a summer swim team. In addition, my family opened our home to Read more mothers and children in need, which gave me hands-on experience caring for children ranging from newborns to school-age. I am comfortable caring for children of all ages and managing daily routines, safety, and supervision. My background in swim lessons and coaching has strengthened my leadership, communication, and safety awareness skills. I am patient, dependable, and organized, and I am currently majoring in Elementary Education at the University of Missouri, which continues to build my understanding of child development and age-appropriate care.
