I love building a big sister type of relationship with kids. (I.E Someone they can come to for hard conversations or advice, or even just to make them laugh.) I find kids hilarious, and feel like in the past I've learned from them just as much as they learned from me. When I worked my first all day summer camp, it was a lot, but I grew so much from it and walked away with a bunch of meaningful memories I won't forget. I then moved in to after school care, which I loved, because it was what those kids looked forward to everyday, and I had a lot of fun providing all these different games and activities to do. Through all of my child care jobs, I've learned how to handle tough moments, emergencies and I even learned that I love to color and watch Bluey. (I am also Read more RedCross CPR certified and First Aid certified due to my previous lifeguarding job this past summer).
