I currently work for the First Baptist Church in Salem, MO, as an Assistant to the Youth Director. My hours are very flexible. My job as Assistant is to help direct children to activities like crafts or games, decorate, and do whatever else needs to be done that day. That may mean kitchen work or just registering the kids. For a few years now I have volunteered to help at my church's Vacation Bible School, Camp JOY, and Kidz Choir programs. At VBS, I am usually up in the crafts room, and I fill in wherever they need me at Camp JOY or Kidz Choir. Although I have some nursery experience, I have never changed a diaper by myself. I have no sense of smell either, and often can't tell if a diaper needs changing or not (unless the baby fidgets or cries). I love caring for toddlers and elementary/middle-school Read more age kids!
