I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy building relationships with both infants and children along with becoming part of their everyday routines. My favorite part is getting to know each child’s personality: what makes them laugh, what they’re curious about, and the activities they love, and creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where they can thrive. I have over 8 years of experience caring for children of all ages, especially babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. As the oldest child and cousin in my family, I’ve been helping care for kids for as long as I can remember. I started babysitting regularly in 5th grade for a family with three children and have continued working with families in my neighborhood, through church, and in my church’s kids ministry with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. I also volunteered at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, where I gained experience connecting with infants Read more of all abilities. I am comfortable with all aspects of childcare, including diaper changes, bath time, meal prep, bedtime routines, and soothing children when parents leave. I am great at keeping consistent routines, especially around naps and meals, and I always make sure to clean up, help with dishes, and stay organized. I will be graduating high school, in May where I have been balancing competitive volleyball, leadership roles like student council president, while maintaining all A’s. I am very responsible, dependable, and great at multitasking. I love reading, talking, and engaging with infants and babies kids in ways that support their development, and I’m always happy to join in on whatever they enjoy, whether that’s playing at home, going to the park, visiting the zoo, or exploring new activities. I’m looking for a summer position before attending WashU in the fall, and since I’ll be staying nearby, I would love the opportunity to continue helping your family beyond the summer!
