Hi I'm Jackie! I'm a Lindenwood Alumni with my Bachelors in Communications who is looking to get back to the job I love doing. I started with working at a home daycare at the age of 16. I worked there until I was 21. I loved working with children and I hope to get back into it since it came easy to me before. My job at the daycare included feeding the children for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, putting them down for naps, and 'circle time'. Along with this short list came with of course changing diapers/clothes, educational programs, and much more. After I left my position at the daycare I began working as an Activities Assistant at a local nursing home. In this role I was part of the 'fun team'. It was my job to keep my residents happy and make sure they were always busy. Now currently I work at Magellan Health as a customer care associate. This does not bring me the same joy as the nursing home or daycare. I love human interaction and meeting new people. Since the Covid 19 epidemic I have been sent to work from home which has allowed me to help many friends and family in a tight stop when it comes to childcare. This reminded me of my old in home daycare position. It has inspired me to open my home to children who need a safe, fun, educational environment. Thats right.
