Hello! My name is Des. I was a nanny for a baby girl, since she was six months old until she was over two years old. Being a caregiver has improved my communication skills, because I had to find different ways to communicate with the baby when she was not speaking yet, in turn learning a little bit of sign language to speak to her. My responsibilities included making her meals, putting her down for a nap, and most importantly managing the time in between in a productive way such as teaching her colors, letters, numbers, and animals. Her parents will communicate to me certain skills they want me to focus on such as her fine motor skills and I will assist in helping her; I.E. learning to put play piece of vegetables together.
