Hi, my name is Cameron Thacker and I am a freshman at the University of Kansas. My major at school is psychology and I am in the pursuit of becoming an occupational therapist. Growing up, my dad was in the military so I moved around a lot throughout the country and babysat for many different families, learning how to care for various ages (11 months old to 10 years old) and even learning how to care for children with special needs. I grew up with 7 siblings and very busy parents so at times I was helping to raise my younger siblings as well as watching and learning from my older siblings. In high school, I was enrolled in a program that allowed me to shadow an occupational therapist and through that I discovered my love for working with children.
