First and foremost, I am a mother of three boys and stepmother to two girls. The boys are with me full time except every other weekend when two visit their dad and for the girls, we are the part time home, so the number of children at home varies from one to five depending on time of day, day of the week, etc... Aside from an active home life, I am also CPR certified and have spent much of my working life as a CNA. Although that experience did not offer much in the way of child care, it still provided invaluable insight into the proper way to meet the needs of others. Additionally, I am a junior at UCM this fall, majoring in studio art. My class schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 11am. This is mainly pertinent because I will have to work around this schedule Read more and that of my children coming home from school. I also consider it a plus, however, because it means that as a student I have access to the campus theatre, bowling alley, library, etc... and I very much look forward to sharing what I learn in art class with the children. Also, because I am a junior in college I have had plenty of core classes and have ample resources available to assist with homework if necessary.
