I have always enjoyed watching and caring for young children. I have experience babysitting my 4 1/2-year-old nephew ever since he was a baby. I have also looked after my 1 1/2-year-old nephew. During high school I took 3 years of parenting and child development classes. Part of the curriculum for these classes was to assist the teachers at the Early Childhood Center. My responsibilities included creating lesson plans that had to be taught to the children, daily interaction with the children which included play time, alphabet, name writing, reading, singing and dancing, crafts, numbers, shapes, colors, potty training, and snack time. The ages of the children I worked with were between 3 to 5. I can truly say I've gained a lot of experience from my time spent with the children at the Early Childhood Center. I am currently looking for a position working with children ages 0 to Read more 5. I will be starting classes in 2016 to begin my education to become a Registered Pediatric Nurse.
