As the oldest of three girls, I naturally acquired a love for babysitting and caring for others. I started babysitting when I was 12 and have experience with children ranging from 3 months to 13 years old. I eventually translated my skills into my college career path. I am in my senior year at the University of Kansas studying Unified Early Childhood Education and my courses have taught me how to actively and intentionally engage children. In addition to years of babysitting experience and my current education, I was also employed as a caregiver for a woman with cerebral palsy. Recently, I worked as an Assistant Teacher at a HeadStart preschool and have my CPR and First Aid certifications.
