Hello! My name is Jessica and I bring over 10 years of experience working with children and families across a variety of settings. I currently work with Special School District supporting students with diverse needs, I have also worked at Epworth Children and Family Services, and at Hoech Middle School as a Social Emotional Behavior Interventionist. I’ve also spent 10 summers with the St. Louis Arc, where I help students with disabilities learn valuable job training and life skills. over the summer I drive campers to work sights and volunteer with them and do fun activities as well like swimming and going to the park. Why do I love working with children? I genuinely enjoy connecting with children and being a supportive, consistent presence in their lives. What experience do I have? I’ve worked with children of all ages and abilities, including those with emotional, developmental, and behavioral challenges. Whether I’m helping with daily routines, schoolwork, or simply providing companionship, I bring patience, compassion, and structure to every interaction. What skills and training do I have? I am trained in behavior intervention strategies, social-emotional learning, and job-readiness support for youth with disabilities. I’ve also received professional development in trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, and individualized support planning. My strong communication skills and deep understanding of child development help me tailor my approach to meet each child’s unique needs. I also have my class E certification.
