Hello! Here's a little bit about myself: I am an experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgable caregiver. Currently, I work as an Assistant Teacher at Clayton Early Childhood Center. Previously, I was an Assistant Preschool Teacher at Holy Cross Academy. After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Maryville University, I dedicated a year to service with AmeriCorps in Chicago, IL. During my service, I worked full time as an Early Childhood Teacher's Assistant at St. Vincent de Paul Daycare with birth to three year olds daily. I worked in a total of 11 classrooms, getting to know and love total of over 124 children. Interacting, teaching and caring for these children provided me with the skills and knowledge needed to give quality care to children of many ages and backgrounds. At preschool and both daycares, I play various games with the children, indoor and outdoor, accompanied them on field trips, Read more prepared daily snack, lesson planned, helped with nap time and assisted with their arts and crafts. I also am a lead for the after school program, working with both the preschool aged students and 2 year old classroom. Outside of the daycare jobs, I babysit children of a wide range of ages, kids who were enrolled in the summer care program and for several families regularly during college. I am energetic and willing to play safe activities with the children. I am not afraid to enforce rules set by parents or in situations that may be harmful to anyone. I am willing to watch infants up to children in eighth grade and I am great with pets, as I have both a dog and a cat myself. Some of my volunteer activities include a year of service, working for Habitat for Humanity at three different occasions, a special education classroom assistant, various leaderships roles in clubs during college and multiple leadership positions on teams and societies in high school.
