Hi, my name is Abby! I would be so happy to be your sitter! I recently moved back to the North Pole area from the Lower 48. I would love to share with you a bit about me! I am friendly, kind, caring, respectful, and responsible. Creating meaningful relationships is important to me, and I value integrity, service, and communication. I am a Christian, and my faith is very important to me; it influences who I am, how I interact with others, and how my life is lived. I absolutely love working with children and their families; I do what I can to ensure safety and that needs and expectations are met. For families that have pets, I love all kinds of animals and I have ample experience pet sitting! I have a car and a valid license, so I am able to provide my own transportation. I recently graduated Read more with a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies with a concentration in Education and mission work. I have my Certificate of Ministry, a minor in Biblical Studies, and I have a TEFL Certificate. My career goals are to eventually be an ESL teacher or work for a non-profit. I am comfortable with children of any age and have worked with children in a variety of settings. I have grown up taking care of children as the oldest in my family, and have been babysitting since I was 12 for various families. I have also worked with children in the professional setting. I will be working in Special Education this upcoming year. Most recently I was a technology teacher for a k-8th private school. Previous to this, I worked as a lead teacher and as a co-teacher for KinderCare Learning Facilities in 2021. I primarily worked with K-4th graders, but I also worked with toddlers. During my time in these positions I was responsible as a primary caretaker and was responsible for facilitating learning. I have been a lead teacher overseas for a short winter STEAM learning camp in which I operated my own classroom, teaching various class periods (students ages 6-14). I have provided childcare for different churches as a sitter, Sunday School teacher, and Vacation Bible School Leader.
