I'm an active, energetic, flexible, athletic kid lover and enjoy engaging the developmental needs of children and usually provide a lot of education stimulation along with just plain fun and adult oversight. I have spent the last year as a nanny off of care.com with a family in New Orleans. I was raised in a large family of 8. My mother was a Montessori school owner and teacher and I volunteered there a lot when I was younger. I've also worked with children in Africa and in inner city Washington, D.C. when I worked there as an adult. I've also taught children from 18 months to 17 years old in Church Sunday School. Although originally from New Orleans, I moved to a small cottage a block from the beach in Bay Saint Louis to finally live out a long time dream of writing a few books. I have a master's Read more degree in Social Work and have taught at MSU in the SW program but am no longer involved in the academic world but pursuing my artistic dream. I love doing art projects and crafts with children. I also make learning fun. I've grocery-shopped, clothes shopped and cooked. I've picked up and dropped off at school. I'm very flexible and reliable about what I am willing to do to help out with your child.
