I love working with children and helping them grow in ways that help them shine! As a young teenager, I had two younger cousins who I babysat. (Around 6 y.o.) I enjoyed encouraging them as they learned to read and write, as well as help them with other school work. I worked at the after-school day care called "Frontiers", where I was an instructor/teacher for pre-school age children up to 2nd graders. (Ages 4-10) I loved helping my students with their homework, creating games with them, and getting to know what learning and play-style worked best for their needs. I find it to be such a joy to help children learn. I am a professional artist, and I had so much fun encouraging (child-level) crafting skills with the children during our enrichment hours at the day care. I am currently attending Mississippi State Uni. where I study B.S. psychology and Read more Cognitive Science. So far, I have been educated in child-development and child psychology courses. During my work at the day care, It was made even more apparent to me how I genuinely care about the future and lives of children. I'm committed to helping them have fun and learn.
