I have worked for a police officer and his wife, taking care of their two little girls, one was 3 months and the other was 5 years old. Our agreement was for me to see the 5 year old through kindergarten and when the baby was a year she would go to the same daycare her big sister went to. I prepared breakfast, for both children and took the oldest to school, as well as, picked her up. During the day I played with the baby on the floor, read books to her and worked with her on My Baby Can Read, Baby Sign Language and other educational materials. I worked with her on how to roll over, crawl, and encouraged her to take her first step. I have also taught her to say several words. After picking up the 5 year old from school, I prepared her snacks and played games with her. If requested I helped her with her homework and saw to her practicing piano. I read books to her and we had many discussions regarding her day and her great ideas! I love children tremendously and have grown to love these adorable little girls. This family also had a dog that stayed in the home with me during the day. I loved her too! I left the family when the baby was placed in daycare when she became a year. This is a wonderful family and this was a wonderful experience. We still keep in touch. I recently worked for a lawyer and his wife. I started when their child was 3 months and stopped when he was 6 months. This is a nice family and the baby is absolutely adorable. A very sweet baby. However, I was working 50 hours per week and I am looking for something with fewer hours. I also care for the dogs in this household. I am very interested in knowing the exact hours that you will need someone. I am very trustworthy, mature and have a great deal of integrity. I adore children and love taking care of them. I also took First-Aid & CPR & still have the certificate, but it expired! I'm willing to retake them though if you'd like! My husband & I also do currently share a car. He uses it for work, but I can be dropped off/picked up. I have taken the family's car when needed for the kids, but totally up to you! If we do the in-home childcare option, all you'd have to do is drop them off & pick them up between the hours of 9-5! :) My current rate is $15-20 an hour for up to 2 kids max. I can watch 3 if it's me going to your place, but only 2 at a time if it's my place. You can always nanny share & split the cost with another family to make it more affordable.
