When I was in the 9th grade, I began volunteering at my town's After-school program. I helped students with their homework and made them feel comfortable around me. I volunteered for 3 years and began officially working at the After-school program my senior year as a Receptionist but I still had to deal with kids. When one of the kids were injured, I was responsible for applying ice to the injury or utilizing the First-Aid kit. I was also responsible for contacting the parent if something serious came up. 2 years ago, I was promoted to a 2nd Grade Teacher's Assistant where I helped students with their homework in specific areas that they needed assistance in.
