For the last 5 summers, I babysat a child from my hometown from the age of 5 to 10. I have worked with kindergarten children in an afterschool care program for two school years where I assisted them with homework. I also planned educational activities that provided opportunities for their physical, emotional, and social learning. I also helped plan fun outside activities for these children. Although I worked closely with kindergarten students, I also aided other teachers with children up to 5th grade. Along with my experience working with children, I am also on the path to graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taken some courses to better understand children and their development. I love working with children because I love watching their bright young minds at work. I hope to better their lives and help them learn and play at their pace.
