I bring a lot of knowledge and variety to the child care experience.I was an English/ ESL teacher and tutor for 30 years. Although my career was at the high school level, my TESOL Master's degree afforded me the skills to work with elementary children too. Since I believed in teaching the child first resulting in the subject being vicariously absorbed, I developed a method of taking care of many physical, emotional, and mental needs of the child. Ergo, I practiced childcare in my classroom. I can participate in games, arts and crafts, and help a reluctant reader enjoy a book. Also, I recently acquired my CPR for safety. I have a grandiose resume, but nothing beats a meet and greet!
