Hi! As a nanny, I have years of experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to preteens. In my previous role as daytime nanny to a busy family of five children, I learned how difficult it can be to manage the varying needs of children in diverse stages of development. I honed the ability to care for each child individually, while paying close attention to the needs of the group. I have a minor in child development, and believe children learn best through play and hands on activities. I love engaging children in games, outdoor activities, taking them on outings, doing arts and crafts, reading, and free play. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for the children in my care, and am familiar with many different parenting philosophies, and work hard to collaborate with the parent’s about with style works best for their children. I Read more am familiar with how to prepare both breastmilk and formula, and am happy to make baby food. I know how to change both cloth and disposable diapers, and am happy to assist with potty training. I keep a daily log of all the children’s meals, activities, naps, and diaper changes. I also am happy to run errands, do meal preparation, provide transportation, assist with homework, and do light housekeeping. I take safety extremely seriously, and am trained and certified in infant, child, and adult first-aid and CPR. As a previous nursing student who did clinicals on both the pediatric and NICU floors I participated in many training seminars on the newest developments in the field of child safety.
