Meet Hattie

Growing up as the second oldest in a family of seven, I did a lot of babysitting throughout my middle and high school years. I loved taking my youngest sister, who is now a spunky seven-year-old, on little adventures in the mountains or to the aquarium. Additionally, I watched several kids in the neighborhood on a regular basis including a consistent position as a nanny of two toddlers. This past spring and summer, I worked as a youth mountain bike coach for Missoula's Parks and Rec program. I taught kids ranging anywhere from 4 to 12 years old bike etiquette and handling skills. One of my favorite things about working with kids is getting to watch the spark in their eyes when they learn new things. As a babysitter, counselor, and aspiring biologist, I believe that is extremely important to encourage curiosity and to keep the kids I am interacting Read more with actively engaged. I love the outdoors and think that it is one of the best places to learn. When I am babysitting, I often end up taking kiddos on outdoor adventures to find feathers and oddly shaped leaves. I have worked with a variety of ages in the past and have no problem with changing diapers. I love pets and would be happy to help out with your furry friends!
