My name is Tara Guzman. I live in Apex with my husband, 3-month-old, and cat Ida. Previously, I worked with Wake County Schools teaching special needs pre-k. I also have experience in daycare with children infants to age 5. I am CPR, first aid, and SIDS (safe sleep) certified. I graduated in 2014 with a degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. During college I had several practicum experiences working with toddlers to school age children in home and school settings. Currently I am taking prerequisite classes online with plans to get a master’s degree in speech language pathology. I would describe my philosophy of working with children to be a whole-child approach. Its important to be well-rounded and meet the needs of a child’s social, emotional, communication, and physical development. I’m a big Becky Bailey fan (conscious discipline) and like using her “I Love You Rituals” to build social skills and Read more connect with children. I am a new momma to a 3-month-old. I’m looking for a family that will allow me to bring my little guy with me to work.
