I speak French, a little Spanish, and I know American Sign Language. I have taken care of newborns, multiples, newborn twins, preteens, teens, children with special needs and medical needs, you name it. I love engaging kids in fun, creative, artistic and educational activities, taking them on adventures in the community, and playing outside. My last job was in SC, where I was the nanny for a 3-year-old girl with down syndrome (since she was 3 months old) and her 1-year-old brother (since birth). Before that position, I was as an in-home support for an 11-year-old girl with autism, through a state service and also have been a nanny for a 10-month-old boy among dozens of other cherished little ones over the years. I consider myself to be a very energetic, friendly, reasonable, organized, self-led and responsible individual. I am extremely punctual, dependable, and only call out in a true emergency. I maintain a tidy household and fully understand that dishes, cooking, cleanup, and laundry are all part of childcare. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I also have a Basic Water Rescue certificate. I know sign language, have potty-trained several children, and I am certified as an in-home support (BHP/Hab-Tech) for children with developmental disabilities.
