My name is Emily Dobberstein. I am a writer, world traveler, and lover of working with people of all ages, but especially kiddos. I have been working with children in some capacity my whole life, but childcare has been my main source of income since 2015, specifically with children with very specific needs. I spend most of my time outside, I love the art of cuisine, I am a published author (Book: The Courage to Go), and I am a psychology student at UNCA. From 2018-2019, I worked as a nanny and personal assistant for a family with a three year old and a six year old with intense behaviors that needed a lot of specific care. I am currently a nanny for a sweet 8-month old boy in Asheville M-F 8:30am - 11:30am, but I am looking to add something consistent to my schedule in the afternoons! I have been trained extensively in trauma-informed care, CPR/first-aid (infants, children, and adults), ServSafe, and administering medications. Overall, I have worked with children from infants to teenagers, from a variety of backgrounds and a large spectrum of needs and behaviors.
