I was a middle child the first 8 years of my life until my mother had her 4th child. She wanted me to feel important so she taught me how to feed, bathe and change a diaper on a baby. To this day I still call my youngest sibling my 1st child. I truly believe this is why I adore children. I have grandchildren today and my 3 youngest are 5, 7, and 8. When our kids and grand babies visit, you’ll find Grammy with the kids! I let the kids decide what activities we’ll do (within reason) and sometimes, we just sit and read (mostly at bedtime) or we snuggle up and watch a movie. I slip in educational games and most of the time they don’t even realize it.
