My experience caring for children started when I was 14 years old. For 4 years, I worked with developmentally delayed individuals within Delaware's first special needs cheer leading team. For 10+ years, I have babysat children ages 1-12 while working around my school schedule. My most recent care giving position was nannying for a family in Raleigh, caring for their one & 4-year-old children. Before this, I was a nanny for 3 girls in DE, doing school pick-ups and caring for the children until their parents returned from work. In addition to gaining extensive knowledge from Child Development courses throughout college at the University of DE, I learned much more about center-based care for children birth- age 4 during my 400 hour internship working within the classrooms for New Directions Early Head Start centers in Wilmington, Delaware.
