My experience dates all the way back to 1993 when I first came to the US to nanny for a sweet baby girl named Olivia until she was 3 1/2 years old. During that time I also babysat for 3 boys age newborn to 5 years and had my own son. I moved on from full time nanny to work in Land Development as a civil designer, which was more the direction of my previous studies in Germany. I kept babysitting over the years, a little here and there. My next big gig as nanny came in 2010 when I took on a set of newborn twins and their 4 year old brother. Total new experience!!! Twins require a much more organized approach, which was no problem for the German girl in me. I had lots of fun with these cuties who are now 5 years old. I still babysit Read more for them and love every minute of it. I am a very creative person who loves to have fun with kids. I'm great at making up games and activities that corresponds to the children's interests. I'm silly, funny and full of joy when it's playtime. I sing (sometimes in German) and dance like I'm a kid myself. This does not mean that I am a push over. I'm strict and follow the rules that the parents set at all times. When it's time to be serious and things need to get done, I'm the girl who gets it done. Three kids running around and dinner needs to get done? No problem. Which leads me to my next quality... I'm an excellent cook. One of my best skills is making pantry dinners... aka look in the pantry/fridge and come up with something edible that's yummy! Creativity is a must even when it comes to cooking. A few other things about me: I'm very focused on being healthy and fit. I love the outdoors, especially kayaking and hiking. I used to run marathons but the running is just became too harsh on my body. I exercise, lift weights and do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (a martial art). I talk about eating healthy and making good food choices to children because I know it's essential to live a healthy long life. I raised 3 children myself. Two of them are serving in US Marine Corps. I'm very proud. I'm looking for the right family who needs part time help. I am not an average babysitter/nanny. I have excellent skills and reputation.
