Prior to leaving for college in the fall of 2014, I held a job as a tutor and camp counselor at the Academic Advantage Tutoring Center in Charlotte, NC. During this time I tutored children in Algebra 1, English K-11th, Math K-8, social studies and science. As a camp counselor I oversaw dance camps, academic camps, art classes and cheerleading camps. I began this job in 2010, and have loved working there ever since. Through this occupation I have gained an amplitude of patience and love for children. As a tutor and camp counselor at the Academic Advantage Center I had the privilege of working with children of all ages and watching them blossom and learn everyday. Through this occupation I learned what it means to care and really connect with children of all given ages.
