My experience began when I was in middle school, and signed up for Red Cross babysitting training. 16 years later, I continue to work with and care for children. In high school I nannied for the summers and babysat on the weekend. In college I studied Early Childhood Education. During the summers I was an over night camp counselor, for a YMCA camp. After graduating with my education degree I moved to Charlotte and began teaching. I taught second grade for 3 years. I have just finished up my first year in the Clinical Mental Health Master's program at Winthrop University. I am currently interning and taking classes full time, in order to graduate next May. I have enjoyed my interning experiences thus far, working with children during play and art therapy.
