My sister is a special-needs child, 8 years younger to me, and due to my parents work hours, I have helped in her childcare. I have also worked at a daycare specifically for special-needs children for 5 years in Fort Collins, CO, called Respite Care. In addition, I've babysat children from the ages of 1 years to 12 years and worked at K-12 schools for volunteer/teaching work. I've been babysitting for many different families since I was 15 years old through college at Duke University. I am CPR-trained and have received babysitting certification when I first started babysitting. I have a car, so transportation is not an issue! I'm working full-time in the Charlotte area, however, would love to help out in any babysitting needs for before school, evenings, or weekends.
