Hi, I am Cammy Thomas, an elementary art teacher located in Charlotte, NC. My students are ages 5-11 and I love their unique personalities. I love to connect with kids through art, music, games, adventures, etc. Throughout college, I was a camp counselor with the City of Raleigh . I worked with children ages 5-12. Prior to working at a summer camp, I have babysat my niece and nephew, as well as family friends' children since I was 15. I also have 3 years of experience working with children with various disabilities from ages 5 all the way to age 21. In high school I took a course called PEPI, where we were partnered with students at our school with a disability. We developed lesson plans and activities for their class to participate in addition to visiting a neighboring elementary school to teach each grade level our activities as well. Read more The school I work with has 3 Exceptional Children classes that come to my room once a week for art. Each class varies in size and disabilities but we are always able to have so much learning about colors, shapes, patterns, etc. They especially love when we paint, use play do, have chalk time outside, the list goes on! I love working with children and brightening their day. I hope I can do the same for your child/children :)
