Hi! My name is Sydney Adams and I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, currently working as a management consultant for a technology firm. My experience working with children dates back to age 14, when I served as an intern for the Children's Museum in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Following that experience, I worked with kids very closely throughout high school and college in roles ranging from being an after school care and summer counselor at the YMCA for ages 5-10, to teaching middle school students in New Orleans, to serving as a full-time nanny for a family with four children (aged 0-14) at the start of the pandemic. Through these opportunities, I gained diverse breadth of experience working with children from all age groups. I have also served as a babysitter for children aged 0-12 in addition to all of my professional and volunteer experiences, and I Read more love building relationships with and spending time with children! Though I have been out of the child-care industry for 2 years, I am looking to become a regular babysitter or weekend nanny to help supplement pending school and wedding costs (I’m engaged!). What better way than to return to work that I love! I have my own transportation and can get re-certified in CPR and First Aid (my previous certification just expired) if requested.
