Hi! My name is Alex, and I am a 23 year old professional in the Non-profit sector. I’ve worked for the Red Cross for 2 years, since just before graduating with my Bachelors in Global Health in May 2023. I am now taking a step back from my full-time position to focus on advanced education/professional development opportunities. As my new coursework is self-paced and online, I have the fantastic opportunity to make my own schedule. I’ve decided to take advantage of this time to make myself available to families seeking childcare here in the Charlotte Metro area! So now to the important part: I have been looking after little ones for almost a decade, starting with the arrival of my first niece in 2013. Now in 2024, I regularly look after that niece (now 11), and the two who have come after her (Adelynn, 9 and Mo, 1). I have Read more far and away the most experience with these three but also have experience with larger childcare settings (Sunday School teaching) and with other families. I’m very comfortable with snack preparation for little ones, including those who are just learning what to do with their teeth! I have lots of experience with overnights/bed-time routines with all ages, and driving to and from hockey (or insert your sport here) practice/school as needed. As most of my experience is with several day stints with 3 kids at a time (from 1 to 11), 3 dogs, 2 cats and a chicken coop — you can rest assured that I am level headed in a pinch and able to juggle multiple moving parts in the home. I do drive a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek with great safety features as well. I’m more than happy to care for kids of any age, but there’s a special place in my heart for the 1-3 age range. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your little one(s)!
