Hello! My name is Hermela Tesfaye, I am originally from Alexandria, Virginia. I moved to Charlotte 2 years ago and have learned my way around the city. When I was younger, I would help my mom take care of the neighbors kids she would babysit. Later on in her career, she became a full time daycare teacher, and when I was 19, I became her teacher assistant. After I decided to move to Charlotte on my own, I became a youth group leader at my now home church, Elevation. With that role, I am responsible for teaching the kids how to serve in church, coming up with lesson plans and activities that correspond with the sermon of the week, feeding the kids lunch and building close bonds with them while still upholding a leader-student relationship.
