Hello! I am a passionate childcare provider with a bachelor's degree in Special and Elementary Education. I have a decade of experience, both paid and unpaid in every form of childcare from babysitting to tutoring to teaching. During my time as a childcare worker, I have crafted a true talent at providing excellent, professional-level childcare while maintaining a nurturing, personable environment. As a childcare worker, I value time with the families I work with and I am a proponent of limiting screen time while in my care and opting for enjoyable enriching activities more often. I am a teacher first and I love incorporating educational opportunities into fun activities. I value nutrition and teaching good life skills as well. My three best qualities in this field are my patience, my loving nature, and my genuine joy of working with children! My rate is a wide range as I factor in Read more transportation, additional service requests (such as meal prepping or housekeeping), and # of children when charging. But, I am excited to work with families with children ages 12 months and up as an individual sitter for one family or tandem sitter with multiple families for a split rate. I am happy to travel within 5 miles of my home (I am in the Charlotte, University area)! However, I do babysit out of my home often as well and am more than happy to negotiate a lower rate for families who are able to drop their children off instead of having me come to their home! For these instances, I provide healthy meals and snacks at no additional cost to the family. In addition to being a nanny, I am also a private tutor/teacher from ages 3 and up. Therefore, babysitting from my home would include extra enrichment activities that I cannot provide out-of-home as I have additional supplies! I also provide afterschool care for children up to 12. In these cases, I do work out of my home, but I offer free homework help, a snack, and/or dinner free of charge! As I am currently a full-time teacher, I am most available for weekends, nights, and evenings until June 11th. After which point, I am able to provide full day and night care!
