I began my journey with children in 2018 as a summer camp counselor for the YMCA. As amazing as it was and spending all day with children playing games, singing songs, and teaching them basic life skills, I wanted more and took on the position of Office Manager for the YMCA! From 2019 to 2020 I was able to provide schedules for other counselors, lead activities, and get to know more of the kids rather than a singular group of thirty. In 2020, I moved to Wilmington where I began to work as a CNA in an assisted living facility. It was a beautiful experience and I still talk with some of the women I took care of. I decided to pursue my career in childcare and work for a childcare facility. I lead a class of twelve toddlers where I would assign art work, make lesson plans weekly, and Read more teach motor skills. I have updated CPR and First Aid certificates.
