Hi! As the oldest child of three, I would say I've been taking care of my younger brothers since I was about 12, other families children since I was 14. Fast forward many years...I currently work at a neighborhood center where a portion of my job is leading our after-school program with 15 youth from 1-5th grades. We use a strengths based model, trying to encourage and develop positive behavior by telling our kids the good things about them and positive things they do. I by nature am a pretty active person and enjoy taking kids out to explore or doing hands-on activities at home. I'm also CPR certified and speak basic French and Spanish.
