Hello! My name is Emauni Crawley. I am a Spelman College alumna and obtained a BA in Sociology on the Criminology track. Currently, I am a Behavioral Health Coach for the state of NC, working directly with persons with disabilities and behavioral issues striving to promote increased independency and community living. Many people go into social services with my major, but I aspire to engage in chaplaincy services and uplift those who are in vulnerable populations. Volunteer/training experience: - Tourette Association of America Ambassador (March 2024-Present): Advocates for individuals with Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders while developing professional and networking skills. Educates communities about Tourette Syndrome through presentations, fostering empathy and awareness. Engages with Congress and elected officials to promote policies improving access to quality care. Mentors Youth Ambassadors on Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders - Collegiate 100 (Affiliated with 100 Black Men of America) (January 2023-May 2025): Supported youth Read more and community empowerment through mentorship, community service, resume building, and tutoring. -SpelREADS Literacy Program/Spelman College (September 2021-May 2023): Assisted elementary and middle school students increase their literacy and comprehension rate, while helping them find their voice 3 hours a week. The following responsibilities and duties are: Student tutors from various disciplines will volunteer their time to work one-on-one with local school children. Students will use a digital literacy tool called BookNook, which pairs literacy lessons. Babysitting Certifications: Child and Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid Training. CPI/APS certified.
