Hello, my name is Ashley Keisling. I am a 22 year old currently enrolled at Waubonsee Community College working towards my Associates in psychology. Through my pursuit of finding my career path, i have obtained a Red Cross certification in first-aid and CPR. I also have studied four years of Spanish. I have been fortunate to have a mother who is a teacher for students with special needs. Because of this, I have had the opportunity to attain a basic understanding of sign language. Another benefit of having a mother in this field, I was able work in the classroom with her students on a volunteer basis. Since I was little, I always loved teaching, playing, and taking care of children. So, it only made sense for me to obtain jobs in a field of something I enjoy doing. I spent five months as a nanny for a woman with Read more two daughters who were one and five years old. My job was to take care of the children and play with them. Some other responsibilities i had was to do the dishes two times a day, do the laundry and help out wherever they needed me to. Another aspect of my job was to help teach the older daughter how to read and write in fun ways in order to prepare her for kindergarten the following year. Another job I always enjoyed was babysitting. I used to babysit for a good friend of mine who had three children. A 10 month baby, an 18 month girl, and a two year old daughter. I helped potty train them and play with them. Overall, I love children and would love to get more experience wherever I can. I am respectable and can follow any rules you put into place. I also know how to cook if you need me too. I do not mind running errands or doing any housekeeping for no extra charge. Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you.
