My name is Lea Alsobrook. I am 26 years old and currently living in Gastonia NC with my fiancé and our 2 fur babies Theo and Piper. We do not have any children of our own yet but hope to start a family someday soon. Aside from growing up with a young single mother who was either working or out, leaving me to raise my baby brother, I learned how to take care of others and nurture at a very young age. I completed college coursework in childhood development and did teaching internships for 2 years at Cesar Elementary School where I taught 2nd Graders. When I was 23, I worked for a family who had a newborn boy and a 2 year old girl as their mother's helper/nanny for a little over 2 years and I absolutely loved my job and being a part of their family. In 2014 Read more the Dad accepted a job offer in Georgia, so the family had to move and I stayed behind. That was very hard for me because I had grown to love and care for not only the children but the family as a whole. I did take a little break from childcare after that and ended up accepting an office management job but I have always known that I am meant to work with children. Life is too short to spend it doing work you don't love. So I am hoping to find a family that I can grow with. Full or part time works for me but I am looking for a stable position because it is not fair for children to become comfortable with a caregiver and have them randomly come in and out of their lives. I have previous experience in Health Care Environmental Services and as a Professional Organizer. So I could also provide some light house cleaning if needed. I have reliable transportation and a valid NC driver’s license. A clean driving record, no criminal record and I do not smoke or drink. I am CPR certified and certified in infection control. I love children and animals. I genuinely try to be the best version of myself and treat others with compassion and respect. I have no problem participating in a Drug screen and a background check. I know how important it is to trust someone new when you invite them into your home and are entrusting them with the most precious thing in your life.
