My name is Nijah Toshumba, I am a 24 year college graduate with two degrees in Communications and media and Women and Gender Studies. I have had many jobs, positions and life experiences that would equate to the skills necessary to be a great nanny and/or baby sitter for your children. With my most recent nannying position, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing 2 year old girl, over the course of the year she and I had a great growing, educational and fun time together. My responsibilities and care for her consisted of plenty of outside and activity playing, her parents made sure she was always in a class, such as music, swimming and arts. I made sure she had at least two meals a day ( Breakfast and lunch), took a nap, I even had the chance to teach Seraphine, her ABC's, colors, animals and shapes. I have also worked as a camp director that required me to be very organize, communicate with parents and children, handle conflict and work on multiple task at once. I am also the youngest of seven children therefore, I have had the wonderful opportunity to be an Aunt to my 8 nieces and nephews, which has increased my passion with the development and care of children. Being that I have a major in Communication with a concentration in media and have worked in many positions that require me to interact with the community, I know I will be able to represent myself well and make both you and your child feel welcomed and comfortable in my presence.
