Meet Kayla

Since I was in middle school, I was always drawn to young children and am hoping to obtain a career working around children. I am a college student and I have a lot of experience working with children, from babysitting my younger sibling to volunteering at the pediatric playroom at UNC Hospitals, while in school. I have basically taken care of my 11-year-old sister since she was born and I've gained a generous amount of child care skills throughout her childhood. I also have a 2-year-old niece whom I watch as often as I can. Through volunteering at the hospital, I know how to care for sick children and make connections with them. I really enjoy being around young children and I know how important it is to have a good role model around, because they take in everything. I do have a car and drivers license, with no prior Read more tickets or accidents, if transportation is needed. Lastly, I am a Spanish-speaker and would consider myself to be fluent. I can speak, read and write in Spanish, and would not mind teaching your child some Spanish if you would like.
