Hello, My name is Makayla but I usually go by Kate. I recently turned 22 and have been babysitting since the age of 12. I have a very deep and passionate connection to children, and I enjoy helping them grow and learn along the way. I am currently a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I am studying neonatal nursing in preparation to join the Air Force after graduating college. I do have a younger brother that is special needs, so I am familiar with sitting for and with those who have disabilities and/or special accommodations. After graduating high school, I babysat for two families, which included overnight stays, morning school preparations, meal preps, bedtimes, and everything in between. My last family I sat for in Virginia lasted constantly for about 2 years until I decided to move to North Carolina to further my education. Most Read more recent was for a families I've sat for was a for a family of 7,(5 kiddies) including two 6 month babies (twins) ,babygirls that were 5 & 7 , and a baby boy that was 3 that were literally the highlight of my day, and a family of three, baby being 6 months old as well. My experience with children includes a wide variety of things; from newborns to toddlers to children up to the teens. Again, I do have experience with special needs children and those with disabilities. My services range from a few hours a day ( esp for parents who just need a day to themselves ) to a regularly weekly based routine and even overnight sitting. I'd also like to add that I am CPR and First Aid certified from my EMT certifications in Virginia. Currently enrolled at community college to renew my CNA certification. Again I love children and I am very eager to begin working as soon as possible so please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any further questions or concerns.
