Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a passionate and nurturing babysitter with nearly a decade of hands-on experience caring for children from infancy through their teen years. I’m currently earning my degree in Early Childhood Education at Bennett College, a historically Black women’s college, where I’m deepening my knowledge of childhood development, learning theory, and behavior support. My care philosophy is rooted in the belief that children grow best through play, exploration, and genuine connection. I focus on creating safe, engaging environments that spark curiosity while helping kids build emotional regulation and independence. Whether I’m guiding a preschooler through nature-based learning, supporting a child with homework, or making up silly games to spark their imagination, I’m always tuned into their developmental needs and emotional well-being. I’ve worked in after-school programs, summer camps, and outdoor preschools, and I’ve cared for children of all ages—including neurodiverse kids.
