Most of my adult years I had childcare in my home where I would keep up to five children , I found that For about 20 years. Once my grandkids were born I just wanted to be available for them , like I will watch my son’s 3 year old daughter as needed but right now that’s only been 1 day a week. But I also have worked in a child care school, I started in the 2-3 year olds the first 6 months and then was moved to the infants from 6 weeks to 2 year olds but I had to leave that position due to the fact that I didn’t agree to their policy, which for one they didnt allow interaction between teachers and the baby’s unless it was feeding time or circle time. We were supposed to hold while giving a bottle, changing a diaper and only Read more for 15 minutes at that. I felt like those infants were denied care,love and attention. So I just put my notice in and opened a daycare in my home and done that for over 25 years. I broke my back and fractured all7 vertebrae in my neck so I took off a few a years . By then my grandkids were being born and they kept me busy. Now they mainly come on the weekend. I’m ready now to take care of a child maybe two, I’m sure I would like to have kids around again it’s something I’m good at and have the patience for babysitting so if like to keep a couple but not a Full business of 5 kids again.
