I am a retired teacher, 10+ years of experience. I graduated from college in 2002, high honors. and have worked as a tutor both in college and for an agency. Homework help would, hopefully, be part of my responsibility. I also like to help out with household chores to take some of those necessary projects off my employer's plate. My goal has always been to have a neat, orderly home, with children's schoolwork finished, and the family ready to enjoy their evening. I have worked for a couple families, just tutoring, some years back. From the beginning of the school year in 2015, I worked for a family taking care of 2 kids. I picked them up from school (clean driving record, extra insurance to cover child transport), got them snack, and let them relax for a half hour while I cleaned up the kitchen. Then, we'd start on homework. Read more The little girl required more help while the boy was more of a self-starter. I'd check their work and make sure it was returned to their backpacks and placed by the front door, ready to roll in the morning. If there was laundry, I'd tackle that or any other necessary housework. If not, I'd just hang out and chat with the kids. I am not an IPhone person who sits on the phone all day. I like to stay busy. I worked for them until COVID shut everything down in March, 2020. I have a wonderful reference from Dad that I'd be happy to share.
