I’ve became a caregiver because I absolutely love caring for children but I have a special place in my heart for children with special needs. I have been working in healthcare for over 8 years. I’ve also been babysitting since I was 13. I am a mother of two beautiful girls ages 6 and 3 months. I currently have four years experience with autistic children as well as children with mild to severe developmental disabilities. I have experience with IEP‘s and daily goals as well as activities of daily living. I am currently a teachers assistant in a wake county public school working with children with severe profound developmental disabilities. The facility I work in is also a five star daycare. I am CPR, first aid and AED certified for infant , child and adult. I also have over a year experience with patients with Traumatic brain injury‘s. I am comfortable with G tube’s, tracheotomies, colostomy bags, administering medication and patients with a catheter. I work very well in a group setting as well as on my own, I have exceptional work ethic and strive to help the people I serve reach all their goals dispite their disability. I have my own transportation as well as a exceptional driving record. I am very diligent about car seat and seat belt safety as well as always being meticulous about safe driving and taking proper safety procautions while driving.
