Hello! My name is Desaree and I am a senior at UNCA. I spent about 5 years doing food service as my primary source of income, but I have quite a few experiences working with a variety of ages. In high school I interned at Johnston Elementary School where I worked with 2nd through 4th-grade students, learning critical skills that aid in teaching children intentionally. I did private tutoring with a 4th-grader for six months, and I also worked with the AVID program through my school where I gained experience working with middle and high schoolers. I am very interested in working with kids in some capacity when I graduate school, I think we have a lot to learn from these little humans!
